Vermont Maple Highlighted in Japanese Newspaper

In April 2024, Eri Takahashi, a freelance write from Japan who's currently living in Washington DC, reached out to VMSMA about a feature story he was writing for a major Japanese daily newspaper, the Nikkei (daily circulation reported at over 1.7 million copies). He had already been in touch with some Vermont producers and wanted additional background on the industry. Eri was also able to connect with Mark Isselhardt, UVM Extension Maple Specialist for the story which was published in June 2024.
